I painted this scene en plein air at one of my favorite spots; the Isle of Wight Nature Par, which sits in the middle of Assawoman Bay between Ocean City Maryland and the mainland. Ocean City is a barrier island on the Maryland coast and is a popular vacation destination. The Isle of Wight is a small refuge away from the crowds and whenever I get the chance I stop there even if it's to just take in the view or snap a pic.
